Her undergraduate research was on the role of the pro-inflammatory environment in the hormonal control of ovule transport in the oviduct under different reproductive contexts. Then, she did her doctoral research based on effect of pro-inflammatory environment associated with obesity on insulin action and glycosidic metabolism in endometrium from women with reproductive failures. Fondecyt After that, she continued her research in charge of the Postdoctoral-Fondecyt Project as Principal Investigator. This research was about the effect of pro-inflammatory environment on cell signaling associated with the progression of gallbladder cancer. Currently, she is Director of the Center for Biomedical Research (CIB), head of the Laboratory of Cellular Pathophysiology of Cancer (FICEC),CIB and Principal Investigator of PAI-SIA Project (ANID), which studies factors associated with obesity and infertility that can alter cell signaling and communication to promote the appearance and \/ or progression of cancer in the chilean female population.
