Using histochemistry and morphometrical methods, we have found a layer 3 magnopyramidal AChERN left-right size asymmetry restricted to Brodmann&#8217;s area 45, a component of Broca&#8217;s language area. This structural feature could be related to functional lateralization associated to syntactic processing and phonological working memory, and is consistent with a non-cholinergic role of AChE possibly linked to neuroplastic processes in the human neocortex.<\/p>","protected":false},"featured_media":907,"template":"","class_list":["post-740","publicacion","type-publicacion","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","lineas-evolucion-y-desarrollo-cerebral","lineas-morphology","lineas-neuropatologia","revista-brain-research"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/cib.udp.cl\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/publicacion\/740","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/cib.udp.cl\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/publicacion"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/cib.udp.cl\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/publicacion"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/cib.udp.cl\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/907"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/cib.udp.cl\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=740"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
