181-183Although it is generally accepted that free radicals are involved in the neurodegenerative process that occurs in the nigrostriatal system in Parkinson’s disease, the exact mechanism of neurodegeneration is still unknown. This article describes the potential effects of DT-Diaphorase as a protective mechanism of the dopaminergic system.
