The implementation of an integrated registry system would not only position Chile at the forefront in this area, but would also allow a direct improvement in the health of individuals who, for example, would not have to physically transfer all their records every time they move from one city to another, from a public center to a private one, or from one health professional to another, reducing bias due to lack of information. The new existing technologies would allow this process to be carried out even more autonomously and immediately. Therefore, the implementation of an integrated platform of harmonized data would have a positive impact on the preventive and therapeutic care of users, on the identification of associations between risk factors of the individual with adverse health events, on the gathering of robust evidence for taking decision-making in health, along with providing a substantial improvement in the provision and coordination of services in the country.
