Gene expression regulation and neurogenomics
The activation of genomic programs and their regulation are determinants of the construction of our systems and correspond to targets of pathologies. The integration of functional genomic interactions in time and anatomical space, together with information derived from environmental conditions, allows predicting susceptibility and establishing deep mechanisms of physiological control and interaction with other systems. In our laboratory we develop scale-free network analysis as a basic tool to understand the etiopathogenesis of different diseases, with emphasis on neurodevelopment and its integration with environmental conditions.
