Brain development is highly regulated by the activation of local genomic and epigenomic mechanisms, as well as by distant signals.
These neurodevelopmental processes involve proliferation, migration, differentiation, and connectivity between different neuronal groups. Each of these events participates in the structuring of our brain and largely reflects functional adaptations and, in certain cases, alterations leading to neuropathologies.
We perform digital image analysis to quantify the density, shape, size, and anatomical rearrangements of different neuronal populations and nerve fibers.
